Happiness Found in A Book in Los Angeles.

Lately, I've been reading a lot of non-fiction, which isn't usually my thing.

Eat Pray Love kicked it off, then The Year of Living Biblically, and now I'm reading The Geography of Bliss (One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World), by Eric Weiner, a correspondent for NPR. This book makes me want to travel, and is increasing my PGH (personal gross happiness; see book).

I've actually learned quite a bit from these nonfiction gems. I should have been making a list of all of the sentences that left me a little more thoughtful and/or speechless. But I haven't. So, now, every once in a while, when some statement drops into my brain from this non-fiction period, I'm going to try and share it with you guys.

Here's what got me today: Recording life is a poor substitute for living it. (Page 86)

What do you think?
